Job Summary: The FSQA Manager will be working under our client who has become a power house within their niche in the beverage manufacturing space. Responsible for overseeing and managing the quality assurance processes within our manufacturing operations. This role involves ensuring that all products meet the required quality standards and specifications, coordinating with various departments to implement quality control measures, and leading continuous improvement initiatives.
Key Responsibilities:
- Oversee the QA team to ensure adherence to policies and procedures throughout all stages of production.
- Evaluate, develop, and analyze product attributes to establish quality standards for finished goods.
- Define and uphold quality assurance objectives in alignment with corporate policies and goals.
- Manage quality and food safety inspection programs, ensuring compliance with federal and state regulations as well as customer specifications.
- Train plant personnel on quality assurance and food safety protocols.
- Collaborate with plant management to meet customer expectations, enhance product consistency, and optimize costs.
- Supervise inspection activities throughout the production process.
- Develop and implement quality control training programs for key personnel.
- Ensure compliance with cGMP, SOP, SSOP, and food safety standards, including HACCP and SQF.
- Regularly review and update quality and food safety programs as needed.
- Investigate and resolve customer complaints related to product quality and food safety.
- Stay informed on industry advancements and implement new methodologies for continuous improvement of QA programs and processes.
- Perform other duties as required.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in food science, microbiology, or a related field
- HACCP and GFSI certification (SQF practitioner)
- Minimum of 5 years of relevant experience, preferably in the juice or beverage industry.
- Proven expertise in Food Safety and Quality Control, including interactions with customers, third-party quality auditors, and regulatory agencies such as the FDA, USDA, and municipal wastewater authorities.
