Senior Fermentation Engineer
Salary: $120,000

Job Scope: As the Sr. Fermentation Engineer, you will be responsible to meet all safety, quality, delivery and cost goals set by Management. Responsibilities include ensuring safety compliance, tracking and analyzing fermentation data, implementing process improvements, and providing technical support and training
Key Responsibilities:
- Support and comply with all safety and environmental policies.
- Track yield and quality data for each fermentation batch to identify improvement areas.
- Analyze production data to recommend and implement lean manufacturing projects.
- Develop solutions to enhance fermentation, recovery, and formulation processes.
- Maintain and update production master batch records, SOPs, and training manuals.
- Troubleshoot and drive root cause analysis to implement corrective actions.
- Lead cost-saving initiatives while maintaining product quality and yield.
- Ensure efficient operation of fermenters and related equipment.
- Provide technical support and training for production teams.
- Foster a culture of continuous improvement and introduce new technologies.
- Sponsor capital investments and technical changes.
Preferred Qualifications:
- BS in chemical engineering, bio-engineering, or related field.
- Experience with industrial-scale microbial fermentation
- Experience with large scale bio-reactors
- Six Sigma and process optimization experience
