Key Responsibilities:
Stakeholder Engagement & Collaboration:
- Build strong relationships with internal stakeholders to align procurement support with business needs.
- Work with stakeholders to develop strategies and support Supply Chain Committee submissions.
Market Research & Analysis:
- Conduct market research to identify potential suppliers using spend intelligence, benchmarking, and other tools.
- Prepare reports on sourcing activities, cost savings, and supplier performance.
Procurement & Sourcing:
- Manage procurement processes for projects exceeding the company's bid threshold.
- Use modeling and analysis tools to aid decision-making in negotiations and supplier selection.
Supplier Selection & Relationship Management:
- Engage in supplier qualification, selection, and performance audits.
- Choose suppliers based on safety, quality, service, cost, and innovation.
Negotiations & Contract Management:
- Negotiate contracts to achieve favorable outcomes, covering terms, labor/equipment rates, and pricing.
- Collaborate to drive innovation and continuous improvement with suppliers.
Performance Monitoring & Reporting:
- Monitor supplier performance and adherence to contracts.
- Adjust strategies and maintain dashboards to report on metrics.
Experience & Education Requirements:
- Minimum Experience: 4 years in procurement, supply chain management, finance, or related fields.
- Preferred Certifications: C.P.M. (Certified Purchasing Manager) or similar certification.
- Education: Bachelor's degree in business administration, supply chain management, or related field. Equivalent experience may substitute for formal education.
Required Skills:
- Strong knowledge of procurement systems, contract administration, and purchasing.
- Advanced reading and writing skills for effective communication.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel, and data analysis tools.
Supervisory Responsibility:
- May fill in for departmental manager and lead buyers within their respective categories or departments.
