Sourcing Manager, Direct Materials
Location: Irving, TX
Work Model: Hybrid (must be local)
Role Overview: Our client is seeking a Strategic Sourcing professional to step into category leadership responsibility for Direct Materials spend. This team is expecting significant growth in the next two years and we are looking for a self-starter, someone that can take initiative and proactive steps in developing and executing sourcing strategy, managing supplier relationships and negotiation, and improvements.
Responsibilities:
- Take charge of strategic sourcing efforts across metals, plastics, and raw materials supporting production.
- Analyze spending data to identify cost-saving opportunities, non-contracted spend, and consolidation possibilities among suppliers.
- Develop, document, and implement processes and systems aligned with company objectives.
- Skillfully negotiate contracts and maintain strong business relationships.
- Plan and execute comprehensive supplier business reviews covering all aspects of the supplier-customer relationship.
- Collaborate closely with key stakeholders and functional areas to uncover savings opportunities through Value Analysis/Value Engineering (VAVE) and supply chain optimization.
- Regularly update and evaluate performance metrics to drive enhancements.
- Ensure suppliers adhere to federal, national, regional, and local laws and guidelines.

Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Engineering, or a business discipline necessary
- At least 5 years of strategic sourcing or category leadership in stated categories
- Must have a proven track record in successful supply chain improvement
- Ready to work in a dynamic, growing environment and co-create an organization
