- Pro-actively identify, define and drive continuous business improvement measures to ensure sustainable and profitable business success
- Lead, track and push forward both existing and new commercial excellence measures with the target to make business operations more efficient and professional
- Disseminate key market insights, provide recommendations for strategic relevance and impact, as well as consolidate competitive insights for strategic recommendations and profitable growth
- Reliably prepare concise and high-quality reporting for local and global top management
- Act as sparring partner and support for Dept. Head and team members within the organisation
- Sales-up & Other Key Projects
- Define and lead cross-functional projects aimed at increasing sales performance and market share by identifying areas of improvements, drafting action plans, tracking activities, pro-actively driving execution, managing time lines and escalating if needed
- Collaborate with sales, product management, R&D, supply chain, finance and other stakeholders to identify opportunities for market growth and improvement
- Develop and implement action plans to optimise customer engagement and sales processes
- Lead implementation of selected strategic projects based on company's needs
- Develop and implement best practices for commercial processes, pricing strategies, and customer relationship management (e.g. customer qualification process, key customer project management, key account management, CRM-related processes)
- Pro-actively collaborate with the Marketing & Product Management team as well as Commercial Management to jointly enhance the effectiveness of quotations, sales processes and pricing to win new business and customers
- Coordinate and structure marketing incl. product portfolio and pricing strategy development and actively participate in strategic planning and workshops with relevant stakeholders
- Design and deliver training programs to improve processes and capabilities
- Foster a culture of continuous learning and improvement within and beyond the commercial organisation
- Collaborate to generate market intelligence incl. market research and bench marking projects to gather insights on competitors, industry trends, and customer needs in the Chinese and global battery materials industry
- Contribute to aggregate, analyse and synthesise data obtained from other departments as well as Product Management to enhance marketing strategies and product positioning
- Support, challenge and optimise preparation of mid- and long-term volume forecasts
- Provide actionable recommendations based on market intelligence
- Ensure and, if needed, organise timely and accurate reporting and management updates to facilitate strategic planning and resource allocation
- Create and present regular management reports in Word or PPT form that provide insights into sales performance, market trends, and project outcomes
- Follow up with Marketing, Sales, R&D and other key functions to track and visualise key performance indicators for business steering
- Support any other special reports for Board level, President and other management
