DSJ Global is partnered with a top paper company to seek a Reliability Superintendent to drive continuous improvement in equipment reliability at its integrated paper mill. Reporting to the Maintenance Manager, this role will lead the reliability team, implement strategic maintenance programs, and enhance overall equipment effectiveness.
Key responsibilities include overseeing Root Cause Failure Analysis (RCFA), predictive maintenance, failure analysis, lubrication, and precision maintenance. The Superintendent will develop and execute a multi-year reliability strategy, optimize preventative and predictive maintenance programs, and train personnel in key reliability practices. Additionally, they will monitor Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) and manage the lubrication, tank integrity, and safety relief valve programs to ensure reliability and compliance.
This position plays a critical role in fostering a culture of reliability excellence, safety, and operational efficiency across the mill.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and execute reliability strategies to improve plant performance.
- Lead RCFA, predictive maintenance, lubrication, and precision maintenance programs.
- Optimize preventative and predictive maintenance using vibration analysis, ultrasound, thermal imaging, and oil sampling.
- Train personnel in reliability methodologies and best practices.
- Monitor and analyze KPIs to assess reliability improvements.
- Oversee lubrication, tank integrity, and safety relief valve programs.
- Drive a culture of reliability and safety throughout the mill.
Qualifications & Requirements
- 10+ years of manufacturing experience (reliability/maintenance focus).
- Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering (preferred).
- Proven leadership in reliability strategy and process improvement.
- Experience with RCFA, FMEA, predictive maintenance, and advanced reliability tools.
- Expertise in precision maintenance, vibration analysis, and lubrication best practices.
