A global leader in the E-Commerce space is seeking a Regional Fulfillment Operations Manager in Atlanta, GA. This role involves overseeing third-party logistics partners, driving innovative solutions for supply chain and logistics challenges, and ensuring compliance with safety and operational regulations. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in operations management, project management, and continuous improvement methodologies.
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Supervise third-party logistics partners who have team members dedicated to our account. Track key performance indicators, vendor performance scorecards, and develop business cases to support improvements and changes in logistics processes.
- Lead the creation, design, and execution of forward-thinking solutions to address supply chain and logistics challenges within logistics network, emphasizing efficiency, speed, scalability, and predictability.
- Work collaboratively across teams to gather and define comprehensive business requirements, ensuring solutions meet the specific needs of supply chain and logistics operations.
- Manage relationships with various internal customers within the third-party facility and work cross-functionally across the organization.
- Identify opportunities to enhance the cost and quality of services provided. Develop documented business cases, present them to peers and leadership for approval, and oversee project management.
- Partner closely with systems teams to create and refine capability roadmaps outlining the development and integration of new technologies, tools, and systems required to implement proposed solutions effectively.
- Drive the development of innovative solution designs that leverage industry best practices and emerging technologies to address the unique challenges of the e-commerce platform operations.
- Ensure compliance with OSHA, food safety, and facility regulations while achieving operational goals and prioritizing safety.
- Travel regularly to fulfillment centers.
QUALIFICATIONS
Minimum Qualifications:
- A bachelor's degree in a relevant field such as Business, Logistics, Operations, Engineering, or similar, or equivalent practical experience.
- At least 5 years of experience in managing vendors or third-party logistics partners.
- Strong abilities in project management and continuous improvement practices.
- Experience overseeing inbound, outbound, or quality operations with an in-depth understanding of critical metrics, inputs, and outputs.
- Demonstrated excellence in operations management, including troubleshooting, capacity planning, and cost control.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience with the setup and launch of new networks or facilities.
- Proficiency in cross-dock operations.
- History of successfully training and leading high-performance teams.
- Knowledge and application of continuous improvement methods such as Lean Six Sigma or Kaizen.
- Experience developing training manuals and standard operating procedures.
