The Quality Manager will serve as a liaison between Engineering/Production departments and the Customer, keeping them abreast of quality problems, program priorities, process audits, and other significant information, which may relate to their areas.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Audits: Perform audits on the quality management system, both internal and external.
- Root Cause Analysis: Conduct investigations and implement corrective actions to eliminate non-conformances.
- Process Controls: Develop and implement process controls.
- Inspections: Organize third-party inspections if needed.
- Metrics: Oversee the generation of weekly and monthly quality metrics for review by the company.
- Customer Requirements: Ensure final products meet the customers' requirements.
- Supplier Management: Assist purchasing in the generation and follow-up of SCARs to suppliers.
- Document Control: Assist with the document control system.
- PPAPs: Conduct Customer PPAPs as required.
- Training: Assist QA personnel with upgrading the quality of the staff through proper training.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Education: Bachelor's degree in Engineering or a related field.
- Experience: Minimum three years in a quality-related field.
- Skills: Basic component knowledge, technical writing skills, personal communication skills.
- Certifications: Previous experience with ISO 9001 and ISO 13485. Certified or working towards certification for IPC trainer. Internal Auditor Training.
- Contract Manufacturing: Experience in contract manufacturing is preferred.
