Quality Engineering Manager
Salary: $115K-130K
Company: A very large-scale company that manufactures high-quality windows for residential and commercial applications. They are seeking a dedicated and experienced Quality Engineering Manager to join their dynamic team and drive the quality assurance processes to new heights. This company is commited to innovation, sustainability, and superior craftsmanship. The role is in Garland, TX and 5 days on site.
Key Responsibilities:
Leadership and Team Management:
- Lead, mentor, and develop a team of quality engineers and technicians.
- Foster a collaborative and proactive team environment focused on achieving quality objectives.
Quality Assurance and Control:
- Develop and implement comprehensive quality assurance programs and procedures.
- Oversee the inspection, testing, and validation of window products to ensure compliance with specifications and industry standards.
- Analyze quality data to identify trends, issues, and areas for improvement.
Process Improvement:
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives using methodologies such as Lean, Six Sigma, or Kaizen.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to enhance manufacturing processes and product designs.
Customer and Regulatory Compliance:
- Ensure compliance with relevant industry regulations, standards, and certifications (e.g., ASTM, ISO).
- Address and resolve customer complaints and quality issues in a timely manner.
Documentation and Reporting:
- Maintain accurate records of quality inspections, test results, and corrective actions.
- Prepare and present quality reports and metrics to senior management.
Supplier Quality Management:
- Evaluate and monitor supplier performance to ensure quality standards are met.
- Collaborate with suppliers to address and resolve quality issues.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Quality Management, or a related field. Advanced degree or certifications (e.g., CQE, Six Sigma) preferred.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in quality engineering or quality management within a manufacturing environment, with at least 2 years in a leadership role.
- Strong knowledge of quality management systems, standards, and methodologies.
- Experience with window manufacturing processes and industry standards is highly desirable, but not mandatory.
- Proven track record of successful project management and process improvement.
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with diverse teams and stakeholders.
