Project Engineer
Location: Sioux City, Iowa, United States (On-site)
Position Overview: The Project Engineer drives improvement through a detailed understanding of sanitary equipment and systems and the variables impacting the operation. This role focuses on supporting the safe day-to-day operations of the plant through troubleshooting, technical support, and implementation of capital projects. The Project Engineer strategically reduces manufacturing costs, optimizes productivity, and minimizes waste. This role also has a 5 year growth track plan into management.
Responsibilities:
Safety Leadership: Demonstrate concern for personal and others' safety, support a strong Safety culture with a zero injury mindset, and ensure compliance with safety standards and regulations.
Process Improvement: Analyze processes, develop new operating techniques, recommend changes, and implement capital projects to maintain or improve business efficiencies and quality.
Project Execution: Design and implement capital permits and projects within budget and on time, providing technical support, training personnel, and supervising start-ups.
Lean Manufacturing: Collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop and implement continuous improvement strategies, driving lean manufacturing methodologies and enhancing equipment reliability.
Technical Expertise: Provide technical expertise and guidance on reliability best practices, cost-saving strategies, and compliance with industry standards and regulations.
