Procurement Manager

Job Overview: The Procurement Manager will be responsible for developing and executing procurement strategies to ensure the efficient acquisition of machinery, parts, and services. This role requires a strong understanding of supply chain management, supplier relationship management, and cost optimization.
Key Responsibilities:
- Strategic Sourcing: Develop and implement sourcing strategies to identify and select suppliers that align with company goals.
- Supplier Management: Build and maintain strong relationships with suppliers, negotiating contracts and terms to ensure quality and cost-effectiveness.
- Inventory Management: Monitor inventory levels and coordinate with production teams to forecast material needs and avoid shortages or excess stock.
- Cost Analysis: Analyze procurement costs and identify opportunities for savings, ensuring the best value for the company.
- Compliance: Ensure all procurement activities comply with company policies and relevant regulations.
- Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work closely with engineering, production, and quality assurance teams to understand material requirements and specifications.
- Market Research: Stay informed about market trends, supplier capabilities, and industry developments to inform procurement decisions.
- Reporting: Prepare and present regular reports on procurement activities, savings, and supplier performance to senior management.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or a related field.
- Minimum of 4 years experience in procurement, preferably in the machinery or manufacturing industry.
- Strong negotiation and communication skills.
- Proficiency in procurement software and Microsoft Office Suite.
- Knowledge of supply chain principles and practices.
- Ability to analyze data and make informed decisions.
