Job Title: CapEx Procurement Manager

Compensation: 110k-125k
Overview:
Our client, a leading building materials company, is seeking a Capital Projects Procurement Manager. This role involves planning and executing strategic sourcing for capital projects and national agreements. Key responsibilities include optimizing costs, quality, and delivery timelines, and negotiating contracts with stakeholders like Engineering, Operations, Legal, and Finance. Essential skills include strong negotiation, project management, and effective collaboration.
Responsibilities:
- Develop and execute sourcing strategies to ensure cost-effective procurement of materials, equipment, and services while ensuring compliance with company policies.
- Identify, evaluate, and select suppliers/vendors capable of meeting project requirements. Develop and maintain strategic relationships with key suppliers.
- Analyze project budgets to identify cost-saving opportunities. Implement cost reduction initiatives through effective negotiation and alternative sourcing strategies. Manage change orders in alignment with project managers.
- Assess and mitigate supply chain risks that may impact project timelines or outcomes. Develop contingency plans to address potential disruptions.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams including engineering, finance, operations, and project management to align sourcing activities with project requirements.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in supply chain management, business administration, engineering, or a related field. Advanced degree or professional certification (e.g., CSCP, CPSM) is a plus.
- Minimum of 10 years of experience in capital sourcing, procurement, or supply chain management, preferably in a capital-intensive industry.
- Experience in sourcing and executing large capital projects.
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to perform cost and risk analysis.
- Experience with SAP (S4/HANA) and Tableau/DOMO analytics interfaces is a plus.
