Process Safety Manager
Location: Central New Jersey
Hybrid flexibility: (3 days onsite, 2 days WFH)

The Process Safety Manager's main duty is to create and maintain a global hazard mitigation program. This position focuses on preventing unplanned incidents caused by process disruptions in both new and ongoing operations. The manager will work closely with departments such as Engineering, Operations, HSE, R&D, Product Development, and Product Management to ensure the effectiveness of the hazard mitigation efforts. Additionally, the manager will supervise process safety specialists, ensuring they perform efficiently and continue to develop professionally.
Responsibilities will include:
- Develop, implement, and oversee the process risk management program, including PHA implementation and reviews.
- Integrate process safety into early stages of product and process development, and continuously improve safety methodologies and standards.
- Manage and allocate team resources, develop specific safety competencies, and provide support and coaching to specialists.
- Monitor and evaluate the effectiveness of risk management processes, and lead annual risk management planning and assessments.
- Foster a strong process safety culture by conducting field reviews, root cause analyses, and collaborating with corporate entities to leverage improvements and learnings.
Preferred Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in chemical engineering (or related) preferred
- 8+ years of experience in direct Process Safety (LOPA, HAZOP, PHA, etc)
- 3-5 years of direct management experience
- Experience with domestic and international safety regulations
