A Global Chemical Manufacting company is currently on the lookout for a Mechanical Process/Project Engineer II to join their team in the Baton Rouge Metro area. My client is a leading water-soluble polymer manufacturer.
As a Process Engineer II, you will be responsible for executing new capital projects and to troubleshooting existing processes. The Process Engineer II will be responsible for ensuring that their assigned projects are being completed on time and on budget. These projects will range from minor facility maintenance projects to leading $2.5MM capital improvement projects.
Responsibilities:
- Monitors project status and pursues corrective action, as required in terms of schedules, budgets, priorities, staffing, and work quality
- Design work experiecne with sizing lines, pumps, heat exchangers, fans, etc
- Troubleshoot DCS and PLC issues and create control narrative for process changes
- Create and maintain project documents (scope of works, budgets, vendor documents, etc)
- Develop/refine scope of works for new and existing projects
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree or higher in Mechanical Engineering.
- 3+ years of experience
- Experience in engineering design of chemical plants and/or project management in a plant environment
- Practical understanding of electro-mechanical systems including pneumatics and automated control systems preferred
