This role requires a solid understanding of chemical manufacturing processes, lean methodologies, and continuous improvement practices.
Key Responsibilities:
- Process Optimization: Analyze existing chemical manufacturing processes to identify areas for improvement in terms of efficiency, quality, safety, and cost. Develop and implement strategies to optimize these processes.
- Data Analysis & Reporting: Collect, analyze, and interpret data from production systems, including throughput, yield, and energy consumption, to track performance and identify improvement opportunities.
- Continuous Improvement: Apply continuous improvement methodologies, such as Lean, Six Sigma, and Kaizen, to design and implement process changes that enhance operational performance and reduce waste.
- Collaboration & Support: Work closely with cross-functional teams, including production, quality assurance, safety, and maintenance, to implement process improvements and ensure alignment with company goals.
- Root Cause Analysis: Lead root cause investigations for process deviations or quality issues, and recommend corrective actions and process changes to prevent recurrence.
- Process Design & Implementation: Develop and implement new process designs, modifications, and upgrades for existing systems, ensuring compliance with industry standards and regulations.
- Cost Reduction Initiatives: Lead and support cost-reduction projects related to raw material usage, energy consumption, labor optimization, and waste reduction.
- Training & Mentorship: Train and mentor team members on process improvement tools, techniques, and best practices, fostering a culture of continuous improvement across the organization.
- Compliance & Safety: Ensure that all process improvements are implemented in compliance with environmental, health, and safety regulations.
Qualifications:
