Job Summary:
A prominent manufacturing company seeks an experienced Plant Manager to lead one of their primary facilities in Trenton, NJ. This facility operates under a company with over 50 high-quality brands and an impressive annual revenue exceeding $3 billion. The selected individual will have the crucial responsibility of overseeing all manufacturing operations.
The seasoned Plant Manager will directly report to the VP of Operations, ensuring that production processes run efficiently, meet quality standards, and adhere to safety protocols. Key qualifications for this role include experience in injection molding and extrusion, as well as the ability to demonstrate strong leadership skills in developing strategies and driving continuous improvement.
The Plant Manager will have the following skillset:
- Prior experience as a Plant Manager and/or Manufacturing Leader in a manufacturing industry - food or raw material preferred
- Food manufacturing experience a plus
- Ability to lead and manage cross functional teams at all levels
- Injection Molding or Extrusion experience a must
- Strong communication, leadership, and problem solving abilities
- 8+ years experience in a manufacturing environment
- 4+ years management experience in a relevant environment
- Extensive knowledge of safety, quality, productivity and inventory
- Ability to operate at a high level on the production floor
The Plant Manager will be responsible for:
- Running day-to-day operations of the facility
- Allocating resources effectively and efficiently to yield optimal results
- Developing systems and processes to optimize productivity and efficiency to meet performance targets ensuring effective return on assets
- Work with and develop in cross functional teams to and strategies to ensure overall plant safety
- Keep facility in compliance with facility ISO standards and in line with all company guidelines
- Ensure proper training's are being created and developed in a timely manner
