Operational Excellence Manager - Food & Beverage
Position Overview: We are seeking a Operational Excellence Manager for one of our private-label beverage manufacturing clients to spearhead initiatives and lead projects aimed at boosting production efficiency without compromising the quality of the products. This role is located in the greater Asheville, NC area. This role demands a robust understanding of Operational Excellence principles, which you will leverage to identify bottlenecks, streamline operations, and drive significant improvements. Your efforts will directly contribute to enhancing productivity and operational efficiencies.
Key Responsibilities:
- Proactively leading and managing projects that focus on enhancing production efficiency while ensuring the highest levels of product quality are sustained.
- Developing and fostering a culture of continuous improvement by effectively implementing and championing Operational Excellence (OPEX) methodologies across all levels of the organization.
- Engaging and collaborating with cross-functional teams, including production, quality assurance, and supply chain, to integrate best practices into daily operational processes.
- Trains staff on root cause analysis, TPM, and Lean Six Sigma.
- Utilizes TPM, Six Sigma, and Lean methodologies to achieve business goals.
- Actively participates in Safety and Quality meetings and investigations.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree with a minimum of 5 years of manufacturing experience (ideally in food & beverage industry)
- OPEX Knowledge: Extensive experience with Operational Excellence frameworks is crucial. You should be able to apply these principles effectively to improve processes and results.
- Experience in implementing TPM and/or Lean Six Sigma culture.
- Black Belt Lean Six Sigma certification (required)
