Position Purpose:
Provide measurement solutions to deliver top-quality products. Requires technical curiosity, leadership, and teamwork.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement measurement systems with cross-functional teams.
- Transition measurement technology to manufacturing.
- Apply measurement uncertainty and system analysis techniques.
- Collaborate with external suppliers for system development and installation.
- Design experiments to improve measurement systems.
- Manage documentation for system deployments.
- Train staff on measurement systems.
- Ensure a safe work environment.
Required Education, Skills & Experience:
- BS in Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or Physics.
- 2+ years in measurement science or related field (MS or PhD can substitute experience).
- Strong problem-solving and fundamental science/engineering skills.
- Effective in technical project teams.
- Ability to manage multiple projects.
- Strong decision-making, communication, and initiative.
- General computer and networking knowledge.
Desired Skills:
- Knowledge of integrating measurement systems into IT architecture.
- Experience in global manufacturing.
- Proficiency with measurement and automation equipment.
- Familiarity with Measurement Uncertainty Analysis, GR&R, and MSA.
- Experience with fiber optic component manufacturing.
- Project management experience.
- CAD software proficiency.
- Scientific curiosity and inventive spirit.
- Advanced software for modeling/statistical analysis.
