Job Title: Mechanical Engineering Manager
DSJ Global is currently partnered with a Fortune 200 Automated Packaging Equipment Manufacturing company out of the Atlanta, GA area. They are looking to bring on a Mechanical Engineering Manager.
Responsibilities:
* Lead design and development of high-speed, automated packaging equipment.
* Ensure timely project completion to specifications.
* Set team standards, assign projects, and prioritize tasks.
* Build relationships with customers, vendors, and suppliers.
* Manage budgets, schedules, training, and education.
* Conduct diagnostics, troubleshooting, and root cause analysis.
* Direct and influence cross-functional teams on development projects.
* Provide production and installation support, including technical sales assistance, troubleshooting, and cost-effective solutions.
* Improve cost and quality of mechanical designs.
* Understand customer mechanical specifications and needs.
Qualifications:
* Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering from an ABET accredited program.
* 5+ years of experience in engineering, preferably with high-speed, automated machinery.
* Experience in organizational change management.
* Familiarity with ASME Y14.5 and GD&T.
* Experience in high-mix, low-volume manufacturing environments.
* Packaging machinery equipment experience is a plus.
* Proficient in CAD software, PLM systems, and engineering change management.
* Excellent motivational and multitasking abilities.
* Willingness to travel 10-15%, including international travel to France.
