Role Overview: We are looking for a skilled Logistics Manager to aid the set up of a new department. Oversee and coordinate the international movement, storage, and distribution of materials, parts, and finished products across various manufacturing sites. This role is essential for ensuring the efficient operation of the supply chain and compliance with local and international transport regulations for hazardous goods.
Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement logistics strategies to support the production and distribution of products.
- Optimize the supply chain to ensure timely and cost-effective delivery of materials and products.
- Collaborate with engineering, production, and procurement teams to align logistics operations with overall business goals.
- Oversee the transportation of materials between manufacturing sites and to final destinations.
- Implement and maintain logistics management systems to track shipments, inventory, and orders.
- Ensure any potential risks are identified and implement contingency plans are in place to address supply chain disruptions.
- Address and resolve logistics-related issues promptly to minimize the impact on production and delivery.
- Coordinate with suppliers, destinations, local and governmental authorities, and transportation providers to ensure transport documentation and permits are complete and comply with regulations for hazardous goods.
- Communicate effectively with internal and external stakeholders, including clients and regulatory agencies.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in logistics, supply chain management, or a related field.
- 5 - 8 years of experience in logistics and supply chain management.
- Familiarity with hazardous goods and export control transport regulations.
- Experience with logistics tools and ERP systems.
- Proficiency in English; Dutch is a plus.
- Experience building and setting up departments.
