A prominent industrial manufacturing company is looking for a Market Development Manager to focus on their Food and Beverage sector. Your main duties will involve driving business growth through cold calling, developing pipelines, and closing deals. You will collaborate closely with Marketing, Inside Sales, and Regional Account Managers to coordinate and manage interconnected projects within the Food and Beverage vertical, ensuring you achieve your targets and goals. Additionally, you will oversee and manage projects within the defined scope, including large, multi-million-dollar programs and multiple sub-projects within the vertical.
Responsibilities:
- Stay updated on key initiatives and their impact on organizational goals, ensuring policy compliance.
- Assess customer needs and collaborate with the field sales team to provide comprehensive product solutions.
- Coordinate efforts for multi-jurisdictional accounts.
- Submit monthly activity reports and territory analyses to management.
- Monitor market information on pricing, products, and competitors.
- Attend networking events and trade shows.
- Assist in developing and implementing the annual business plan.
- Inform management about market trends and sales opportunities.
- Identify marketing opportunities within the vertical.
- Develop contacts within focus accounts to drive brand demand.
Requirements:
- Bachelor's Degree in a technical field such as Engineering, Business Management, or Business Administration.
- 10+ years of related sales experience, preferably in industrial sales.
- Experience in the Food/Beverage industry is a plus.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Outlook, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
- Detail-oriented and proficient with CRM.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
- Exceptional time management, attention to detail, and follow-up skills.
- High energy, initiative-taking, and goal-oriented.
