An industry leading government vessel manufacturer is looking to hire a Lead Project Engineer to their growing team. The Lead Project Engineer will be responsible for leading the mechanical or structural development of new construction vessels. The ideal candidate will be responsible for a team of 8-10 engineers to lead the design and construction of vessels.
Responsibilities
- Provide engineering and technical leadership on projects to the Project Manager and all supporting internal departments, customers, suppliers, and subcontracted design agents.
- Design and review vessel structure and mechanical support systems.
- Confer with project Subcontractor design agents
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering or related field.
- 7+ years of marine experience required, experience in vessel design and construction preferred.
- Familiarity with ABS Standards
- Experience working with AutoCAD, Solidworks, or Ship Constructor
- Strong communication and leadership skills, with a focus on team development.
