Job Summary:
We are seeking an accomplished EHS Site Leader to spearhead all Environmental, Health, and Safety initiatives at our largest manufacturing facility. This pivotal role is key to ensuring regulatory compliance, cultivating a safety-first culture, and advancing our EHS programs through continuous improvement efforts.
Key Responsibilities:
Compliance Leadership:
- Develop, implement, and oversee EHS programs in alignment with OSHA, EPA, NFPA, and other regulatory standards.
- Conduct comprehensive safety audits, risk assessments, and inspections to identify and address potential hazards.
Training & Development:
- Lead EHS training sessions for employees, reinforcing safety protocols and best practices.
- Foster understanding and adherence to company safety policies across all levels.
Incident Management:
- Investigate workplace incidents thoroughly, identify root causes, and implement preventive measures.
- Maintain detailed documentation, including compliance reports, training records, and incident logs.
Collaborative Culture:
- Partner with site leadership to embed safety into everyday operations and decision-making.
- Champion continuous improvement initiatives to enhance safety, health, and environmental outcomes.
Environmental Stewardship:
- Monitor and enhance environmental performance, ensuring alignment with sustainability goals.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Environmental Science, Occupational Health and Safety, Engineering, or a related field (preferred).
- Minimum of 3 years of EHS experience, ideally in a packaging manufacturing environment.
- Deep understanding of EHS regulations and standards (e.g., OSHA, EPA, NFPA).
- Strong organizational and communication skills with the ability to engage across all organizational levels.
- Professional certifications (ASP, CSP, CHMM) are highly desirable.
