Job Summary: The Demand Planning Manager will be responsible for developing and executing demand planning and forecasting processes to ensure optimal inventory levels and meet customer demand. This role requires a strategic thinker with strong analytical skills and experience in the chemicals industry.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement demand planning strategies to ensure accurate forecasting and inventory management.
- Collaborate with sales, marketing, and production teams to gather and analyze market data and trends.
- Utilize advanced forecasting tools and techniques to predict customer demand and adjust plans accordingly.
- Monitor and report on key performance indicators (KPIs) related to demand planning and inventory management.
- Identify and mitigate potential supply chain risks and disruptions.
- Lead and mentor a team of demand planners, providing guidance and support to achieve departmental goals.
- Continuously improve demand planning processes and systems to enhance efficiency and accuracy.
- Communicate effectively with stakeholders to ensure alignment on demand planning objectives and strategies.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or a related field. A Master's degree is a plus.
- Minimum of 7 years of experience in supply chain planning or demand planning.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to interpret complex data.
- Proficiency in demand planning software and tools (e.g., SAP, Oracle, JDA).
