Key Responsibilities:
Demand Forecasting:
- Develop and maintain accurate demand forecasts based on historical sales data, market trends, and inputs from various departments.
- Use statistical tools and software to model demand and identify potential variances.
- Continuously review and refine forecasts based on sales, marketing initiatives, and external market conditions.
Inventory Planning and Optimization:
- Collaborate with inventory management teams to determine appropriate stock levels that minimize excess inventory and stockouts.
- Analyze and suggest improvements for inventory turnover and service levels.
Cross-Functional Collaboration:
- Work with sales, marketing, and finance teams to incorporate promotional activities, seasonal variations, and customer insights into demand forecasts.
- Serve as a liaison between the supply chain and other departments to ensure alignment on product demand and availability.
Performance Analysis and Reporting:
- Track and report key demand planning metrics, such as forecast accuracy, inventory turnover, and service levels.
- Provide data-driven insights to management to support strategic decisions and improve demand planning processes.
Continuous Improvement:
- Stay updated on industry best practices and advancements in demand planning technology.
- Propose and implement process improvements to enhance forecast accuracy and operational efficiency.
Qualifications:
- Education: Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Business, Statistics, or related field.
- Experience: 3+ years in demand planning, supply chain, or inventory management roles.
- Skills:
- Proficiency in demand forecasting tools (e.g., SAP, Oracle, Logility, Arkieva) and Excel.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent communication and collaboration abilities.
