Job Description
As a Business Development Manager in Logistics, you will be responsible for attracting new customers and expanding our customer base within the logistics sector. With a focus on warehousing, you will develop new business relationships and capitalize on growth opportunities in the market.
Key Responsibilities:
- Active Prospecting and Customer Acquisition: Expand our customer base by actively seeking new customers. Develop strategies to identify new market opportunities and increase market share.
- Relationship Management and Customer Visits: Build and maintain long-term business relationships. Organize regular customer visits to present customized warehouse solutions that meet customer needs.
- Contract Negotiations and Tailor-Made Solutions: Collaborate with colleagues to propose customized warehouse solutions and negotiate contract terms to secure successful deals.
- Monitoring Market Trends: Keep a close eye on market trends and competition, anticipating changes and opportunities. This enables proactive responses to customer needs and leveraging growth opportunities in the logistics sector.
- Representing the Company: Act as an ambassador for the company by participating in trade fairs and events, expanding our network, and promoting our services.
Your Profile:
- Education and Experience: Preferably hold a bachelor's degree and have 5 years of relevant work experience in a commercial role.
- Knowledge and Skills: Have a strong understanding of the logistics world, particularly in warehousing, and some affinity with the transport and maritime sector. Experience in warehouse automation is a significant advantage.
- Personal Attributes: Customer-focused, result-driven, a team player, and proactive. Possess commercial flair and attention to detail. Fluent in Dutch and English, with some knowledge of French being a plus.
- Location: Ideally based in Antwerp.
