We are hiring an Automation Engineer Lead for a global leader in pharmaceutical development and manufacturing. This innovative company has a strong presence worldwide, specialising in peptides and APIs for research and clinical use. They are building a new facility looking to implement and scale automation systems to increase capacity.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and maintain automation software, focusing on Siemens PCS7 systems.
- Provide advanced support for PCS7, including WinCC and Simatic Batch, ensuring best practices.
- Collaborate with engineering teams on automation projects and system startups.
- Support testing, simulation, and validation processes.
- Assist in process documentation, risk assessments, and system upgrades.
Qualifications:
- Degree in automation engineering, process engineering, or similar field.
- Experience with process control systems (ideally Siemens PCS7).
- Strong understanding of automation requirements and technical specifications.
- Familiarity with ISA88, GMP, and Pharma standards.
- Knowledge of electrical diagrams, P&ID, and network topologies.
Preferred:
- German language skills.
- IT/OT knowledge, including networking and virtualisation.
- Experience in the pharmaceutical industry.
